I try to capture the extraordinary in the ordinary. I am constantly on the lookout for ways to transform and repurpose odd materials, creating value where there was none. My many reversible designs allow the wearer both ease and options…and a chance to be playful and different. You can typically find me in my Oak Park studio making gold out of a pile of plastic swizzle sticks, vintage buttons and – of course – laminate countertop. I have an MFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from Indiana University and I've taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Indiana University and Northeastern Illinois University, and College of DuPage. The jewelry I create is lively, colorful, and bold – much like the stellar women who wear it.
